MWC Investigators awarded HRC Explorer Grants

Congratulations to Dr Siouxsie Wiles and Professor Greg Cook who have each been awarded an Explorer Grant from the Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) for infectious disease research.
Dr Wiles will investigate how infectious microbes adapt to live and cause disease in their hosts and the factors that influence this. Professor Cook will develop novel antibiotics to treat bacterial infections and combat multidrug-resistant bacteria.
